My name is Richard Pike. I am an artist, writer and art teacher. I currently live in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, India.

I work primarily as an illustrator/designer, although I do paint. All my work is sourced from my drawings. I work in lightfast archival pens, in sketchbooks which range in size from A6, beautifully leather bound and embossed, hand crafted Indian Made drawing books, (which are great for travelling). For larger drawings I use A4 and A3 artists sketchbooks. All drawings are scanned at high resolution to create an image bank from which I select images to digitally manipulate. This process is low tech editing, cutting, pasting, layering and adding colour. All the images are 100% my own work and are exhibited as Giclee prints using lightfast archival inks on archival paper. Each image is limited to an edition of 3 prints only.
